Blackmon Power, LLC, a subsidiary of Blackmon Service, Inc., serves both Carolinas as a full-service Electrical and Testing Contractor. While specializing in data centers and critical facilities, we provide our services for various customers throughout the region. Our combination of customers and projects provides employees with a unique opportunity to work mainly indoors in tempered environments. We offer and self-perform a variety of electrical installation services including equipment installations, conduit, wiring, de-commissioning, installation of backup power systems, underfloor whips, etc.

We are currently looking for an Electrical Installation Apprentice that will be responsible for assisting installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, wiring, and equipment at varying levels of complexity based on experience level. This is a full-time position with benefits, some overtime will be needed.
Job Functions

Self-motivated with the ability to work under supervision in a team-orientated environment.

Basic knowledge of standard electrical practices and codes
-
Able to follow client/owner procedures and site regulations.

Perform all duties in accordance with company safety rules, operating regulations and practices, and report unsafe conditions or acts.

Basic knowledge of bending and installing conduit and wiring (with instructions)

Assist in generating material lists for tasks to be performed.

Some travel required (mostly NC and SC)
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
-
At least 1 year of experience with a vocational and/or electrical background or similar experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.

Must be able to pass background and drug test(s) prior to beginning work.

Good communications skills.
-
Great attitude and ability to communicate intelligently when working with both customers and internal parties.
